Christian Barter

Christian Barter, from Bar Harbor, has published three collections: The Singers I Prefer, a Lenore Marshall Prize finalist; Someone Else’s House, winner of a Maine Literary Award; and Bye-Bye Land, which received the Isabella Gardner Prize. His poems have been featured on Verse Daily and Writers Almanac. A former Hodder Fellow at Princeton University, he oversees construction and restoration of hiking trails on Mount Desert Island and is Poet Laureate of Acadia National Park.
