UMS:IT is the Information Technology organization for the University of Maine System. We strive to deliver high-quality technology to meet the mission and strategic goals of the University of Maine System and its seven Universities. Our teams partner with stakeholders across the University of Maine System to provide users with reliable and innovative solutions that support the University’s mission of teaching, learning, research, and service.
Our Unified IT Help Desk is the initial point of contact for technology assistance for all faculty, staff, and students throughout the University of Maine System. The Help Desk works collaboratively with our Support Services teams at each of the Universities to provide reliable, consistent, and responsive support. Each University IT Support Services team is dedicated to responding to day-to-day technology needs and is led by a Director of Campus Technology who works closely with campus administrators and UMS:IT on the delivery of IT services and the strategic technology needs of the campus community. The Directors of Campus Technology are led by our Associate CIO and together, they ensure technology strategic alignment and operational excellence across the University of Maine System.
