May 16 – June 9, 2022: The Act of Seeing: An Exhibition of Photographs by UMF Students
Free and open to the public
The Act of Seeing: An Exhibition of Photographs by UMF Students features the artwork of 30 students and recent alumni. The exhibition presents “seeing” as an active process, where the camera is a tool used to explore narrative and re-awaken viewers to the nuances of place, time and experience through techniques of defamiliarization, recontextualization, reenactment and collage. These works were created in Digital Photography classes over the last six years and include experimental portraiture, photo essays, landscapes, collections and more.
