9/6/25: WUMF Battle of the Bands Concert

Free and open to the pubic

WUMF 91.5, the student-run radio station at the University of Maine at Farmington, will be hosting Battle of the Bands on September 6th to shine a spotlight on student and local bands: Befri Stends, Complete Utter Opposite, and Late Sorrow.

This event is taking place at Emery Community Arts Center on the UMF campus. If weather permits, bands will perform outside; if it rains, bands will perform inside. Free refreshments will be provided by Orange Cat Cafe, a beloved local business in Farmington.

Key information:

  • Doors open at 2pm on Saturday, September 6th with the event beginning at 3pm
  • Each band will be given 20 minutes to perform
  • After each band plays, a break will ensue for voting to begin
  • The winner will be declared and invited back on stage to perform an encore

WUMF 91.5 is the University of Maine at Farmington’s radio station that aims to promote the importance of new music and up and coming artists, as well as highlight student creativity while emphasizing a shared love of music.
