This Friday, the Couch Jam Online Concert Series presents a double-feature performance event with Lindsay Mower and Campfire Flicker Lights! Emery’s online concert series showcases Farmington’s local music scene with performances recorded in the homes of local musicians and brought straight to you through our website. The show goes “live” on Friday, July 31st at 7:00pm.
Lindsay Mower is a songstress from Maine. She writes her own music, featuring a fusion of jazzy, folksy and bluesy pop tunes. She is currently the principal songwriter, vocalist, and bassy rhythm guitarist for the band Natural High Jumble @naturalhighjumble . She loves to have fun and she has really nice teeth. Campfire Flicker Lights is a music-making trio from Farmington, Maine comprised of Frank Giampietro (singer/songwriter, guitar, bass, percussion), Rachel Spear (vocals, guitar, bass), and Dominic Giampietro (vocals, guitar, bass). Influences for their sound include the artists Radiohead, Neil Young, Prince, The Wood Brothers, The Smiths, Nora Jones, Pixies, Valerie June, and Sonic Youth. Campfire Flicker Lights is Dominic Giampietro, Frank Giampietro, and Rachel Spear.
While our UMF campus arts venue remains closed, Emery Community Arts Center strives to continue its role as a space to honor, exhibit, and support the artistic and creative force in our local community and beyond.
