2023 UMS:IT Summit
The UMS:IT Staff Summit was held at the UMaine Campus in Orono on June 9, 2023, and was a huge success! Approximately 125 people attended in person and 25-30 people connected remotely.
Those in attendance had opportunities to learn about the fiscal challenges and opportunities facing the UMS, participate in conversations relating to the UMS Strategic Plan, and learn about the work of all IT teams.
The winners of the CIO Award, Extra Mile Award, and Team Impact Award were announced at the Summit. Congratulations to all of our nominees and to this year’s recipients: Xiumei Fang, Database Administrator – CIO Award; Angel Allen, IT Project Manager – Extra Mile Award, and UMS:IT Business Operations – Team Impact Award.
Staff were also celebrated and recognized for their Years of Service to the University. A big shout out to those with 25 – 40 years of service to the University of Maine System!
